Bar FC achieve a day of firsts

Bar FC have achieved a day of firsts. Here they are:

1. The first win for the season as Bar FC won 2-0 in today’s DSL;
2. The first goal on debut – welcome Ajay Sivanathan;
3. The first goal with the first touch – again Ajay;
4. The first debutante to achieve a goal and an assist – you know who.

Sir Alex can breathe a sigh of relief with the first win of the season. Talk of his tactics being too old school was quelled today when Ajay Sivanathan was kept in reserve, only to be injected when the opposition were tiring. A 15 minute debut by him, ably supported by newcomer Anthony Khoury, saw Bar FC secure its first win of the season.

In a game that was entertaining and hard fought, Bar FC clicked into full gear for the first time this season. Solid in defence, keeper Philips had very little to do. A midfield consisting of Rogers, Free SC, Coutinho and Hartford Davis saw the strikers being fed the ball for the majority of the game and Olson up front was very unlucky not to score with two headers and a volley narrowly missing the goal.

Our next game is tomorrow Thursday 22 June 2022 at 1.15 pm. All those who enjoy the beautiful game are welcome to watch at 1.15 pm on top of the Domain Car Park.
