Bar FC courageous against Hays Recruitment FC

For 35 of the 40 minute game today Bar FC competed well against high flying HR FC. In a game that was played end to end, Bar FC defended valiantly and attacked with rigour. Nevertheless, they were pipped at the post with two last minute goals securing the points for HR FC.

Player of the match went to the returning John Tsang who paired brilliantly with the always hard working Anais d’Arville in the centre of defence. Defenders Liu and Lachlan White also worked tirelessly to ward off the attacks from the flanks, whilst keeper John Harris pulled off a one handed save in the first half that would have brought a smile to any keeper from the Premier League.

Coutinho in midfield also had a cracker – with a few shots from deep troubling the defence. Support also in the midfield from Ionita, Newton, Olson and Sivanathan was provided in spades. Even Morrison the lonely striker defended when he needed to and was a menace to the oppositions defence.

All in all it was a great performance and a complete turn around from the first time we played HR FC and conceded 5 goals. Not winners on the day but Bar FC certainly enjoyed the game and played some very good football.
