Corrective Services NSW advice about JUST Connect video conferences

Corrective Services NSW has provided the following advice to the Bar Association concerning legal practitioners and video conferences using the JUST Connect system.

CSNSW uses the JUST Connect service to enable legal practitioners/ professionals to book appointments with their clients via video-conferencing or in person visits. Booking appointments through JUST Connect requires that identification checks will be completed prior to the commencement of your appointment.

It is important to note that for video conferences, it is a requirement that your camera is on prior to the conference occurring so that identity verification checks can be completed. Your camera must then remain on during the conferencing process for security purposes.

For all visits, you may also be asked by staff to quote your VIN and Booking ID.

If adequate identification cannot be obtained, your visit may be cancelled or interrupted.
