The NSW Council for Civil Liberties 2023 Gala Dinner & Civil Liberties Journalism Awards '60 Years Strong' is on Wednesday, 20 September 2023.

Join Walkley award winning journalist Amber Schultz, activist and human rights campaigner, Craig Foster AM, and Dr Meredith Burgmann AM who has been at the forefront of protesting inequality in Australia for decades describing herself as a former NSWCCL client, dependent on pro bono work in the early years to keep her out of gaol.

NSWCCL is a volunteer organisation which has advocated for civil liberties and human rights since its foundation in 1963. In this, our 60th year, we come together to remember our history and honour the extraordinary activists who founded the Council. This will also be a wonderful opportunity to look to the future and set the agenda for what comes next. We look forward to catching up on the 20th.
