Bar Association Annual General Meeting and Election Timetable

The New South Wales Bar Association’s AGM will be held in the Common Room of the New South Wales Bar Association, Basement, Selborne Chambers, 174-180 Phillip Street, Sydney, on Thursday, 2 November 2023 at 5.00pm.

Nominations for the 2024 Bar Council open on 14 September 2023. Nomination forms must be scanned or photographed and submitted to the Returning Officer via email to elections@nswbar.asn.au by 4.00pm on Thursday, 16 October 2023.

Once the ballot for the 2024 Bar Council Election opens, eligible members will be able, at their choosing, to vote either via the Association’s online election platform or by using a paper ballot.

The election ballot opens 19 October 2023 and closes at 1:00pm on Thursday 2 November 2023.

An announcement of the results is expected on Friday 3 November 2023, via In Brief and on display in the Bar Association.
