Mandatory Disclosure Statement

Every barrister who holds a NSW practising certificate, is a member of the Bar Association and has approved professional indemnity insurance, is covered by the NSW Bar Association’s Professional Standards Scheme.

All members covered by the Scheme are required to display the mandatory disclosure statement, ‘Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation’. Pursuant to the Professional Standards Legislation, the disclosure statement is to appear on all materials given (or caused to be given) by members of an Association to clients or prospective clients that promote or advertise the person or their occupation.
