Diversity

Today is International Lesbian Day, held annually on 8 October, to celebrate lesbian history, diversity, visibility, and culture.

The day is believed to have originated in Australia or New Zealand, with the first Australian event in 1990 at Collingwood Town Hall in Melbourne.

The NSW Bar Association is committed to supporting a Bar that reflects, and is inclusive of, the diverse composition of Australia’s society. Resources, including the Association’s LGBTQI Principles on Inclusiveness, and information about support services are available on the Association’s Supporting LGBTQI Inclusivity webpage.
