Arthur Leslie KC passed away on 3 October 2024. He was admitted to the Bar on 6 May 1955 and appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1982. In 2005, Arthur celebrated 50 years at the Bar and retired in 2010.

Arthur was a founding member of Ground Floor Wentworth Chambers and Head of Chambers for 12 years. He was a brilliant lawyer and a gifted advocate. He had a busy practice spanning Common Law, Industrial Law and Administrative Law, and served as an acting judge in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court. His extensive law library was a source of great pride and his law reports were impeccably annotated by hand every week until the day he died. He was a loyal friend and mentor to many. He will be long remembered for his quick wit and will be sorely missed.
