Bar Bushwalking
25/10/2024

Wellbeing
Following the success of the recent Gooch’s Crater Loop walk with 19 walkers, the final Bar Bushwalking walks for the 2024 calendar year are:
Devil’s Hole
On Sunday, 27 October 2024, we will undertake the previously postponed, popular Devil’s Hole and Nellies Glen Loop Track at Katoomba.
It is an attractive 9km walk, with an elevation gain of 534m, taking about 3 or 4 hours. The ascent back up into the Devil’s Hole from the Megalong Valley floor is a particular highlight and memorable.
Please meet at 8.30am for a 8.45am start at the Cahills Lookout Carpark, Cliff Road, Katoomba (on Google Map). It is not a public transport friendly site. If anyone would like a lift from Katoomba Railway Station, please just let us know.
As always, please have 1 or 2 litres of water, lunch, wet weather gear (if there is a prospect of rain), a hat and good walking shoes. For those interested, we plan to have drinks after the walk at the proudly 3 star, historic Carrington Hotel.
If you would like to come on the walk please register by sending an email to Robert White at rwhite@12thfloor.com.au by no later than Wednesday, 23 October 2024. Any queries, please feel free to call Robert White on 8029 6342, Leah Reid on 9151 2946 or David Pritchard on 9221 3848.
Royal National Park Coastal Walk

We will do the south to north route from Otford Train Station to Bundeena Ferry/Cronulla Train Station and not the more usual north to south route. It is a 27 kms long and moderate walk.
