Nominations have closed for 2025 Bar Council Election

Nominations for the 2025 Bar Council Election closed at 4:00pm Monday, 21 October 2024.

Nominations have been received from 23 Senior Counsel and 51 members of the Junior Bar (including 11 under 5s).

All candidates should have received an acknowledgement of their nomination from the Returning Officer, if they have not they should contact the Project and Administrative Officer at the Bar Association by emailing elections@nswbar.asn.au.

The 2025 Bar Council Election will be a hybrid model which will allow members, at their choosing, to vote either via the Association’s online election platform or by using a paper ballot.

Ballot Papers are being posted out shortly and the ballot opens Monday 28 October 2024.
