Tomorrow: Book launch: Ian Barker QC, Prince of Barristers

Members are invited to attend the launch of Stephen Walmsley’s book, Ian Barker QC, Prince of Barristers, in the Bar Association’s Common Room on Wednesday 20 November 2024 at 5.00pm for a 5.15pm start. Light refreshments will be served.

Ian Barker QC was a former president and life member of the Association. The author, a retired judge, has written what is partly a biography of Ian Barker QC and partly a socio-legal history based on Barker’s career. The Hon Virginia Bell AC SC has written the foreword to the book and will be speaking at the launch. Copies of the book can be purchased at the launch or via the publisher's e-store.
