End to self-regulation by the Migration Institute of Australia

The minister for immigration and citizenship, Senator Chris Evans, has announced the end of self-regulation for migration agents and the establishment of a new Office of Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA), effective 1 July 2009. The move follows the handing down of the final report by the 2007-2008 Review of Statutory Self-Regulation of the Migration Advice Profession. Learn more>
