Robing in the Federal Magistrates Court (Qld)
18/02/2009

Counsel appearing before the Federal Magistrates Court do not wear robes or wigs. Except, it seems, in Queensland. A reader has informed In Brief that, pursuant to a local practice, counsel should robe when they appear before federal magistrates north of the Tweed. The barristers' guide to court attire in state and federal jurisdictions is published on the Bar Association's web site.
