Legislation to note: Wood Inquiry recommendations

The_ Children Legislation Amendment (Wood Inquiry Recommendations) Bill 2009_ was introduced into the Legislative Assembly on 3 March, with the agreement in principle speech delivered today. The object of the Bill, as provided in the explanatory notes, is to amend various Acts and other legislation to give effect to certain recommendations in the Report of the Special Commission of Inquiry into Child Protection Services in NSW (the Wood Report).
