Disqualified drivers to lose their licence until appeal is finalised

The New South Wales Government is legislating to prevent disqualified drivers who appeal against their sentences from getting their licence back until their case was finalised. Attorney General Hatzistergos said the provisions of the Crimes (Appeal and Review) Amendment Bill 2009 would apply to drivers who have had their licences disqualified or suspended for crimes including street racing, excessive speeding and mid and high range drink driving.
