Law Council Executive fills vacancies

On Saturday, 14 Mach 2009 two new members were elected to the Law Council Executive. The first resulted from a casual vacancy created by the resignation of Mr Ken Martin QC on his appointment to the Supreme Court of WA. The second was to fill the new Executive member position, created by a special resolution at the general meeting to amend the Constitution to increase the number of Executive member positions from two to three. Mr Joe Catanzariti was elected to fill the casual vacancy and Ms Megan Mahon was elected to the newly created Executive member position. Both Mr Catanzariti and Ms Mahon will hold office until 31 December 2009.
