Australias Right to Know Freedom of Speech Conference

Join Australiaâs leading lawyers, academics, journalists, politicians and public servants for an important debate on our freedom of speech. The keynote address will be delivered by Justice Ronald Sackville AO of the Supreme Court. Other speakers and panellists include Senator John Faulkner on his proposed new Freedom of Information laws, Shadow Attorney-General George Brandis SC, Mark Dreyfus QC, MP, editor of The Australian Paul Whittaker and the Nine Networkâs Laurie Oakes. The conference will include sessions on privacy, freedom of information, defamation and whistleblowersâ legislation as well as a raft of media issues.
The conference has been accredited by the NSW Bar Association with 1 CPD point per hour of attendance (excluding introductions and breaks), with a maximum of 4.5 points to be claimed.
