Legislation to note: Succession Amendment (Intestacy) Bill 2009

The Government introduced� the Succession Amendment (Intestacy) Bill 2009 in the Legislative Assembly yesterday. The Bill is intended to implement the recommendations of the National Committee on Uniform Succession Laws, which was established by the Standing Committee of Attorneys General to develop model laws to be used as the basis for the reform of succession laws across Australian States and Territories.
