NSW Government calls for submissions on open government initiative

Premier Nathan Rees has tabled in parliament three exposure draft bills intended to reform this state's freedom of information laws. The government invites interested persons to provide written submissions. Copies of the bills, together with a companion guide and other relevant information may be obtained from the Open Government Information page on the Department of Premier and Cabinet web site.

The bills are as follows:

  • Open Government Information Bill 2009

  • Information Commissioner Bill 2009

  • Open Government Information (Consequential Amendments and Repeals) Bill 2009
