Surfing lawyers unite for a good cause and to learn

20/05/2009

The Third Annual Australian Lawyers Surfing Association Conference is being held at Lombok in Indonesia from 18 August to 23 August 2009. Lombok has a variety of waves for all: some challenging, some not so challenging. The previous conferences in Bali have been a major success, with up to 50 surfing lawyers and their partners attending. The conference has two purposes: * to cover a range of legal issues such as commercial law, environment and development law, criminal law and land rights;and * to engage in active fundraising for the East Bali Poverty Project (EBPP), a charity which ALSA has been involved with since its inception. Conference times are planned around tides and winds, so attendees can confidently expect to get some good waves. For further details of the conference, please go to the ALSA website at www.alsaonline.com.au Beat the winter blues and come along for a great time. **24 June 2009 **
