Duty Barrister Scheme: a request for volunteers

We are in the process of compiling the next duty barrister roster for the period 1 July 2009 to 30 September 2009.� To date, the response from existing duty barristers has not been encouraging. In order for us to continue this scheme, which is so valued by the judiciary and members of the public alike,� I call on all barristers, but particularly senior juniors, to lend a hand by volunteering to attend, even once, over the three month period.� Every attempt is made to accommodate existing obligations.
