Tim Bugg to replace Sir Laurence Street as chair of ILSAC

Attorney-General Robert McClelland has announced the appointment of Mr Tim Bugg as chair of the International Legal Services Advisory Council (ILSAC). Mr Bugg was president of the Law Council of Australia in 2006-2007. ILSAC provides advice to government on advancing the Australian legal professionâs participation and performance internationally. Mr Bugg will take up the appointment on 1 July 2009 for four years taking over from the Hon Sir Laurence Street AC KCMG QC.
