The Australian Red Cross has a key role to play in promoting respect for international humanitarian law.� As part of this role, Australian Red Cross, with the support of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, presents a series of nationwide Humanitarian Law Perspectives seminars. The seminar on Tuesday 4 August 2009 will consider the unique challenges and opportunities presented when prosecuting and defending heads of state for crimes under international humanitarian law and international criminal law.
