New Local Court legislation commences today

The Parliamentary Counsel's web site has published proclamations in respect of commencement dates for the following legislation:
Local Court Act 2007 ; Miscellaneous Acts (Local Court) Amendment Act 2007 ; and the _Local Court (Savings and Transitional) Regulation 2009 _The Local Court Act 2007 replaces the Local Courts Act 1982.� The above Regulation will ensure the continuation of the Local Courts (Civil Procedure) Rules 2005 and the Local Courts (Criminal and Applications Procedure) Rule 2003 upon commencement of the Local Court Act 2007.
