The NSW Council for Civil Liberties invites members to a lunch with an address by Nick Cowdery QC on Friday, 14 August 2009:ï¿½ "Prosecutors Do Care about Human Rights - Really!" Mr Cowdery will talk about the role of prosecutors in the promotion and protection of human rights, with some illustrations and examples from recent events in NSW. If "the price of liberty is eternal vigilance", this is no time to deflect our attention away from what is happening in Macquarie Street!
