Budget 2010: additional money for legal assistance

The Australian Government has announced an additional $154 million over four years in legal assistance programs. The Law Council of Australia has welcomed the injection of funds, but warned that the allocation of $92.3 million over the next four years for legal aid still falls short of the required budget.
