BOCSAR research finds no correlation between crime and Kings Cross injecting centre

The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research has published the results of its study into the incidence of robbery, property crime and drug offences in the vicinity of King Cross's Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC), which opened in May 2001. The report concluded that "no evidence was found that the MSIC has had a negative impact on robbery, property crime or drug offences in King Cross LAC". Learn more>
