Indexation of maximum amount relating to non-economic loss in motor accidents matters

Pursuant to s 146 of the Motor Accidents Compensation Act 1999 and s 80 of the Motor Accidents Act 1988,� the maximum amount that is to apply for past or future non-economic loss under those Acts has been increased to $432,000 from 1 October 2010. Orders to this effect were announced in the NSW Government Gazette today.
