Members of parliament to remain exempt from jury duty

The Legislative Council's Standing Committee on Law and Justice has today tabled the report on its inquiry into the eligibility of members of parliament to serve on juries. The report makes one recommendation ... to uphold the exemption of members from jury service. Attorney General John Hatzistergos has informed the chair of the committee that the government accepts the recommendation.
