Legal Aid NSW specialist barrister panel UPDATED CLOSING DATE

The closing date for applications for the Legal Aid NSW Specialist Barrister Panel (Complex Criminal Law) has been** extended to 18 February 2011. **The panel is open to junior counsel only. The panel has been extended in recognition of the fact that some applicants are not current users of Grants Online and have needed to be given login details.
Information about the panel and the link to the online application form are available on the Legal Aid NSW web site.
To lodge the panel application, applicants must be registered for Grants Online and have a valid username and password. Junior counsel who are not registered to use Grants Online must complete the registration form, by clicking the Registration button on the Grants Online home page. Applicants should indicate in the "Where did you find out about Grants Online" box that they are applying for the panel to enable their registrations to be given priority.� Legal Aid NSW staff are required to verify details of barristers who register for Grants Online with the Bar Association and the Australian Business Register before processing the registration.
Applicants who have forgotten their passwords should contact the Grants Support Desk at grants.support@legalaid.nsw.gov.au and indicate in the email that they are applying for the panel.� Requests for new passwords received before 3pm Monday to Friday will be processed on the day of receipt.
Applicants who have already submitted an online application and wish to provide further information can also do so by 18 February 2011. Additional information can be sent by e-mail to panels@legalaid.nsw.gov.au.
