2010 Australian Government - Rio Tinto NTRB scholarships

The Australian Government and Rio Tinto are again offering two scholarships to lawyers who are currently working, or interested in working, at Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs) or Native Title Service Providers (NTSPs). The timing of the scholarships will correspond to the European academic year, commencing in September 2011. � The two scholarships cover all the expenses involved in undertaking a one year Masters in Mining Law and Policy at the University of Dundee, Scotland (approximately A$52,000) and are open to any Australian resident with a law degree.� There is once again no age restriction.� The successful candidates will commit to work within the NTRB system for a minimum period of two years on completion of their studies.�
The Department of Famiies, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) has agreed to continue to provide A$15,000 towards the living expenses of each scholarship recipient who is working within the NTRB system at the time they receive the scholarship. � Please note that this year applications will be open from **Monday, 21 February through Friday, 18 March 2011. ** � Download a flyer about the scholarships.
