Law Society announces key priorities under a Coalition government

The Law Society of NSW has congratulated Greg Smith SC on his appointment as the attorney general and minister for justice, and has outlined its list of priorities under a Coalition government, such as a review of court funding and staffing levels, increased funding for DNA testing facilities, and a review of the Bail Act 1978. The Law Society also signalled its intention to pursue reforms to personal injury laws, as well as a charter of rights. Learn more >
