BOCSAR releases a feast of crime data

The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research has released the_ 2010 Recorded Crime Statistics Annual Report_. According to the report, most categories of crime, such as motor vehicle theft, malicious property damage and robbery without a weapon are either stable or trending downwards. However, a number of drug offences showed an upward trend, such as dealing, trafficking in cannabis and prostitution. At the same time, BOCSAR has published research showing some categories of crime are now at the lowest levels they have been for over 20 years.
