Queensland to host the State of Origin festival of the boot

The annual Suncorp Tri-State Football Challenge Cup between the New South Wales, Queensland and Victorian bars will be held north of the border this year, in Southport, on** 10 September 2011. **Non-playing members of the bench and bar, partners and families are welcome and encouraged to attend. The tournament will be held at The Southport School, which has excellent facilities in a picturesque setting.

The games will be combined with a Sports Law Mini-Conference. Confirmed speakers include John Marshall SC (Anti-Doping in Sport) and Graham Turnbull SC (When does physical contact on the field of play become a crime?).

It is anticipated that there will be welcome drinks on Friday evening, the CLE on Saturday morning with the games immediately thereafter. Dinner and presentations will follow on the Saturday evening.
