Spigelman AC to head panel on constitutional recognition of local government

The Gillard Government today announced former chief justice of the NSW Supreme Court, the Hon James Spigelman AC, will lead an expert panel on recognition of local government in the Australian Constitution.The panel will report back to the Government by the end of the year.
