New South Wales Women Lawyers Achievement Awards

06/07/2011

The Women Lawyers’ Association of New South Wales (WLANSW) nominations for their 2011 New South Wales Women Lawyers Achievement Awards will close on the 31 July 2011. Download a nomination form. The awards, which celebrate the success and achievements of women in law, are supported by the Department of Attorney General and Justice, the NSW Bar Association, the Law Society of New South Wales, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association, and the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency.

Five categories of Awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner to be held at 7:30pm on Friday, 23 September 2011 at the WatersEdge, Sydney:

  • Woman Lawyer of the Year in Private Practice;
  • "In House" Woman Lawyer of the Year;

  • Woman Lawyer of the Year in a Community Organisation (please note this category includes academics);

  • Woman Lawyer Advocate of the Year;
  • Upcoming Woman Lawyer of the Year

This is a fantastic opportunity for lawyers to ensure that the accomplishments of their female colleagues are recognised in a significant way.

The Executive Committee of WLANSW welcome all nominations for outstanding woman lawyers, and encourage all to mark their diaries with the date and details for the 2011 Awards Gala Dinner.

Limited sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Awards. Please contact Kathryn McKenzie, Executive Officer on 0466 157 087, or at executive@womenlawyersnsw.org.au, for sponsorship packages or further information.

We look forward to your support of the NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards.
