Monday, 12 September - New NSW Barristers' Rules (Parramatta) In conjunction with the New NSW Barristers' Rules coming into effect on the 8 August 2011, the NSW Bar Association is running a number of seminars to outline and discuss these new rules. Please note that this seminar will be held in Parramatta. ** Tuesday, 13 September - Accounting for Barristers: Saving for Income Tax and GST** This seminar will be presented by Dennis Robertson of Weston, Woodley & Robertson Chartered Accountants and Consultants. The seminar will be conducted on the topic of saving for income tax & GST and cash forecasting.

Wednesday, 14 September & ****Wednesday, 21 September ****- Commercial Arbitration Act (2-Part Seminar) These Seminars have been arranged by the ADR Committee and are a repeat of the seminars by the same title conducted earlier in the year. In the two sessions, presenters Peter Callaghan SC and Ian Bailey SC will address the Commercial Arbitration Act 2010. These seminars have been designed for silks and those junior barristers who attended the 'Writing Arbitral Awards' Seminar in August and wish to be approved as arbitrators. However, other members are welcome to attend.

Monday, 19 September - Discussion Panel: Lists of the Supreme Court of NSW This CPD will address matters of practice, courtesy and rules associated with appearing in the equity, corporations, subpoena, common law and court of appeal lists. It will be a general discussion on the lists and how they run and the expectations of the court in respect of those who appear. The seminar has been arranged by the New Barristers Committee and will be of particular interest to membes of the junior bar. However, all members are welcome to attend.
