Expression of interest for chair and deputy chairs, health professional tribunals

The Health Professional Councils Authority is seeking expressions of interest from qualified persons for appointment as chairpersons and deputy chairpersons for the following health professional tribunals:

•�Dental Tribunal •�Nursing and Midwifery Tribunal •�Physiotherapy Tribunal •�Podiatry Tribunal •�Psychology Tribunal

Qualifications

Chairpersons and deputy chairpersons must be Australian lawyers of at least 7 years’ standing.�Given the nature of the role applicants will be expected to be senior practising members of the legal profession with substantial practical and procedural experience.� Applicants will also be expected to have substantial experience in administrative law, excellent communication skills and a capacity to produce clear and concise written decisions in a timely manner.� A commitment to public safety, social justice and cultural diversity is essential.� Experience as a tribunal member would be advantageous.

Remuneration: $1,210 per full sitting day.
