Extra time for submissions on serious invasion of privacy

Minister for Privacy and Freedom of Information Brendan OâConnor extended the deadline for submissions on a proposed statutory cause of action for serious invasions of privacy, following requests for more time from several organisations. The deadline has been extended by 10 working days until Friday, 18 November. Further details on how to make a submission and copies of the Issues Paper are available on the website of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet at http://www.dpmc.gov.au/privacy/causeofaction/
