Congratulations to DeBuse

InBrief congratulates Ben “The Philosopher” DeBuse of 8th Floor Garfield Barwick Chambers on his impressive win in the main event boxing match at Randwick Labor Club on Friday, 30 March 2012. DeBuse “The Philosopher” is currently undefeated in the “Corporate Bash” Boxfit promotions series. In attendance at the fight was the president of the NSW Bar Association, Bernie “the Heckler” Coles QC who was seen receiving a bear hug from the sweating “Philosopher” after the fight. Arthur Moses SC, a member of the Bar Association’s Health, Sport and Recreation Committee who was at the fight, filed the following report forIn Brief:

Ben was not pretty in his boxing shorts but he was pretty effective with his punches. The “Kamahl Why Are People So Unkind Award” goes to a young lady who described the fight between the aging warriors as "watching two walruses making love". However this was balanced by a more mature and experienced lady’s charitable remark (I won’t disclose her identity): "For such a big man Ben sure knows how to move. He showed strength and endurance. I like that in a man."

Downloada flyer for the fight with an impressive picture of the Philosopher. DeBuse also features in an article on persons in professions who box in the Virgin Airlines Australia Voyeur Magazine April 2012 edition.
