2012 Forbes Lecture

The 2012�Forbes Lecture will be delivered by Tony Cunneen on 31 October. The working title for the lecture is "A Man for All Seasons: The Life and Times of Chief Justice Sir William Portus Cullen". Cullen CJ is regarded by Australian legal historians as one of the nation’s most learned chief justices. He also happens to have been the first chief justice of NSW born in Australia and wholly educated here. His service as chief justice (between 1910 – 1925) coincided with the tumultuous times of the First World War, its prelude and aftermath.

Tony would welcome contributions to his research from all quarters, including (importantly) members of the legal profession and their families.
