Updated closing date for Legal Aid NSW barrister panel

The closing date for applications for the Legal Aid NSW Specialist Barrister Panel (Criminal Appellate Matters) has been extended to 25 May 2012. The panel is open to junior counsel only.�Information about the panel and the link to the online application form are available on the Legal Aid NSW web site.

To lodge the panel application, applicants must be registered for Grants Online and have a valid username and password. Junior counsel who are not registered to use Grants Online must complete the registration form, by clicking the Registration button on the Grants Online web site.�

Legal Aid NSW staff are required to verify details of barristers who register for Grants Online with the Bar Association and the Australian Business Register before processing the registration.

Applicants who have forgotten their passwords should contact the Legal Aid NSW Service Desk at servicedesk@legalaid.nsw.gov.au and indicate in the email that they are applying for the Panel.�

Applicants who have already submitted an online application and wish to provide further information can also do so by 25 May 2012. Additional information can be sent by e-mail to panels@legalaid.nsw.gov.au.
