Tonight: unveiling of Spigelman portrait

The unveiling ceremony of Mathew Lynn's portrait of the Hon James Spigelman AC QC will take place tonight,�28 May 2012 at 5.30pm in the Bar Common Room. Chief Justice Tom Bathurst will be present to receive the painting on behalf of the Supreme Court. Funding for the portrait came from members of the Bar Association and the Law Society of New South Wales.� Also that evening, an anthology of ceremonial speeches delivered during Mr Spigelman's time as chief justice,_ Transitions in the Court_, will be launched by the Hon Murray Gleeson AC QC. Copies will be available for purchase on the night for $15 or at the Bar Association Reception prior.
