Allowances paid to Crown witnesses

Attorney General Greg Smith SC has approved an increase in allowances paid to Crown witnesses by 2.2 per cent as set in the Scale of Allowances Paid to Witnesses. The scale will take effect from 1 July 2012. It is also planned to increase the rates of payment to jurors under the _Jury Regulation 2010 _by 2.2 per cent effective from 1 July 2012.
