Honorary Doctor of Laws for the Hon Tom Hughes AO QC

On Wednesday, 18 July 2012 at 7.00pm, the University of Notre Dame Australia will confer the degree of Doctor of Laws honoris causa on the Hon T E F�Hughes AO QC.�This year�marks the 50th year of Mr Hughes becoming one of Her Majesty's counsel. All members of the Bar Association are invited to attend.
The ceremony will take place in St Benedictâs Church at the University's Broadway Campus, corner Abercrombie St and Broadway. Prior to the degree conferral there will be a Mass at 6.30pm. Following the conferral Mr Hughes will deliver as his doctoral address the Michael OâDea Oration 2012. Supper will be served at 8.30pm in the Upper Hall to which all are welcome.
