Amendments to the UCPR - and they take effect today!

At a meeting on 6 August 2012 the Uniform Rules Committee approved amendments to the UCPR.
Amendments to Part 51 - Court of Appeal: inserting a new rule 51.39A dealing with the filing of written submissions in leave applications that are heard concurrently with the appeal hearing, and amending r 51.45 which deals with proceedings in the Court of Appeal's supervisory jurisdiction.
**Amendment to rule 1.5: **�inserting a new sub rule (4) that makes it clear that despite Schedule 1 any rules that are expressed to apply only in relation to a specified court or courts do not apply to any other courts.
These amendments�were published on the NSW legislation website today, and will take effect from today.
