The Technology Dispute Centre invites members to attend a roundtable discussion and drinks on 6 September, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm while the host, Steve White leads a conversation about "Lawyersâ, Directorsâ and IT Project Managersâ Duties in light of the recent Centro and James Hardie decisions".�This session will look at the practical implications of these recent decisions and appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Steve White�is the principal and founder of the law firm White SW Computer Law.�A registered trade mark attorney, Steve is a member of the Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators Australia .au domain name dispute resolution panel, a fellow of the Australian Computer Society, a fellow of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration, a member of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre general list of mediators and arbitrators and a regularly published author.� Steve has almost 20 years of litigation experience in the Federal Court, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria. Steve has acted as arbitrator in numerous substantial commercial disputes including, without limitation, the only four reported matters to date involving an arbitral decision under the new Commercial Arbitration Act 2010 (NSW).
