UNSW Law Justice Talks: "Law and Justice: Do They Meet? Reflections From A Confused Career" (ADVERTISEMENT)

11/03/2013

On Wednesday, 27 March the Hon Ronald Sackville will deliver the first of the Justice Talks public lectures for 2013. Titled "Law and Justice: Do They Meet? Reflections From A Confused Career", former Federal Court of Australia judge, the Hon Ronald Sackville, will explore his own ideas of justice as they have been influenced by the various roles he has held throughout his career - as legal academic, royal commissioner, law reformer, practising barrister and judge of courts in Australia and elsewhere. He will consider the law as a force for social justice, the notion of “access to justice”, the constraints on judges who promise to do “justice according to law” and Australian concepts of the rule of law. Register now to hear these compelling insights from a 'confused' career in the law.

Cocktail reception at 6pm. Lecture from 6.30-7.30pm. Where: Tyree Room, John Niland Scientia Building, UNSW Kensington Register at www.law.unsw.edu.au/justicetalks
