Silks donate to charity

It's a long-standing tradition that each yearâs new silks make a donation to one or more charity. The 2012 silks have donated a total of $94,400 to the Cancer Council, Indigo Foundation/Afghanistan Women Lawyers Charity, the Fred Hollows Foundation Aboriginal Programs, the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and also the Australian Chamber Orchestra. 2 April 2013
