Bar FC downs Transgrid

NSW Bar FC returned to the winner's circle yesterday afternoon following a comfortable 3-1 victory against Transgrid. Despite conceding an early goal, the Bar dominated the first half and equalised with an exquisitely chipped free kick by Colin Magee. Pouyan Afshar then put the team 2-1 up right on half time with a blasted free kick from the half way line.

Richard di Michiel scored the goal of the season so far just after half time with a sumptuous "half bicycle" vollyed strike following great lead up passes from newcomers Ivan Griscti and Colin Purdy.

Leading 3-1, the Bar saw out the rest of the match without much difficulty and had several chances to extend the lead.

The team now sits in second place on the table with a game in hand.
